Eco-design involves environmental aspects into every phase of product development, aiming to balance ecological and economic needs. This approach ensures that products are designed to minimize environmental impact throughout their entire life cycle: from concept, to design, to production, to marketing.
The raw materials are selected to be sustainable and recyclable with the utmost respect for the environment, thus offering to our Customers the right mix for sustainability.
Eco-sustainable materials are at the center of the processes since they must comply with international standards, based on the principles of reuse and recycling; we are strongly committed to find new materials to manufacture products with a low environmental impact thus minimizing any pollution.
We are using materials that are always reusable, biodegradable, recyclable, non-toxic and which must ensure the right protection for the best food-grade results. Eco design in Cartonpack Group looks also towards economic efficiency, trying to achieve both ecological and economically sustainable packaging.
PAPERSYS®
Papersys® system is an innovative application of cellulosic material (paper) which is used for industrial vertical and horizontal packaging processes. Papersys® has been patented and conceived thanks to the technological competence and research of Smilesys S.p.A., located in the province of Padua, recently integrated into the Cartongck Group.
The applications of Papersys® paper films are wide: flow-packs with window, envelopes and heat-sealed bags, heat-sealing of cardboard containers. The result of the use of Papersys® is a packaging completely disposable within paper, totally recyclable and therefore fully responsive to the most stringent regulations on the eco-sustainability of packaging (see PPWR, Agec, etc.).
At the same time this type of packaging guarantees the possibility of communicating with graphics dedicated to the reference market.
MOULDED PULP PACKAGING
This is a brand new sustainable solution recently developed by the Group: the thermoformed cellulose fiber packaging (so -called "pulp") is manufactured and distributed by our company Decapulp (Spain).
The Cartonpack Group, thanks to the technical experience of Decapulp, has implemented a high-level competence in the industrial production of pulp packaging being the latter a highly eco-sustainable raw material, perfect for the production of completely recyclable packaging both in the food and fresh products sector.
Fiber-based materials boast the highest recyclability rates in Europe. Our portfolio of pulp packaging solutions is wide: from spherical tray liners to those for specific fruits (kiwi fruits, melons, etc.) to the various formats of punnets and trays for the "Selling-Unit" and retail distribution.
