QUALITY AND CERTIFICATIONS

The demands of an increasingly diversified and quality-conscious market translate, within the production cycle, into a series of activities aimed at controlling products. These are assigned to humans and technologically advanced inspection and analysis equipment for raw materials, semi-finished and finished products.

CARTONPACK GROUP has a qualified team in legislative compliance and product risk assessment. This function is constantly updated and follows the standards for materials and objects in contact with food, nationally and internationally.

Through its Integrated Quality and Environmental Management System, CARTONPACK GROUP has formalized its commitment and responsibility to produce safe products that comply with the law and meet specified quality requirements. Quality is an essential element to guarantee customer satisfaction, product safety and respect for the environment.

For many years now, CARTONPACK GROUP has been working in synergy with public and private bodies (Universities, Research Centres, accredited laboratories) within an Integrated Quality and Environmental Management System, certified according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards and in compliance with the BRC/IOP standard, which is aimed directly at producers of materials in contact with food and was created with the intention of ensuring customer hygiene/health safety.

In particular, the BRC Global Standard is an international product standard promoted by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).

The BRC Global Standard imposes a series of requirements aimed at strengthening and promoting food safety along the entire supply chain, including the adoption of industry-leading best practices:

  • The implementation of a HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) system to identify and control critical points in production.

  • The adoption of a documented quality management system, to ensure the consistency of business processes.

  • The control of standards regarding work environments, product, processes and employees, ensuring safe and compliant production.

  • The definition of appropriate specifications for raw materials, finished products and intermediate/semi-finished products (when applicable), as well as supplier monitoring, site location, waste management, hygiene and organizational standards for employees and process control.

CARTONPACK GROUP ensures full compliance with these requirements by means of a dedicated Control Plan, aimed at scrupulously checking materials and finished products, thus guaranteeing safety, quality and effectiveness of the different product categories developed and distributed.

CARTONPACK GROUP features a modern laboratory, equipped with advanced technologies, including thermal, mechanical, chromatographic and spectroscopic analyses, which enables the careful monitoring of raw materials, semi-finished and finished products, guaranteeing compliance with established production standards.

Research and development are central to CARTONPACK GROUP’s commitment, which constantly adapts to new market trends and is dedicated to improving food shelf-life, while maintaining a high regard for environmental sustainability. Quality is further supported by a product tracking and tracing system, implemented in the manufacturing execution system (MES) and the warehouse management system (WMS).
